They seem nice or whatever. Background: I have a knocking coming from near the right wheel. And a loss of power. I told them I thought it needed a bushing. They found grease on the cv boot but didn't want to work on it since it wasn't causing the loss of power. Fine. There wasn't a check engine light so they couldn't diagnose the loss of power and told me to drive it around until I got a check engine. I got check engine two days later dropped it off and told them I thought the injectors might be having issues. The injectors are known to fail on this car. They reported that the check engine codes only says lots of misfires and my spark plugs were really dirty. Sorry for the background here's where it gets weird: Tl;dr; They quoted me 1000 dollars to replace my spark plugs, relearn the CPS sensor and clean the fuel system. I don't think that you can meaningfully clean a direct injection system and when I asked what "cleaning the fuel system" meant it didn't sound real to me. I made sure to ask if it involved removing the injectors and the 'fuel system cleaning' would not have involved removing the injectors. I said no thank you and did the spark plugs and tester the codes myself. It was really easy and I could not fathom paying someone 1000 dollars to do that. They didn't tighten the 1st spark plug all the way and I lost so much power I barely got home to finish the job myself. I'm fairly certain that the plug was tight when I gave it to them because it had a huge loss of power after I got it back, way worse than when I dropped it off. I know the plug was loose because I didn't feel any resistance when I took it off and I could see soot markings on the top half from where the exhaust was blowing past the spark plug that was barely screwed in place. Not cool. This was a dangerous situation where my car was stalling out because they gave it back to me worse than when I gave it to them. Now I'm getting texts every day to write on here. I'm really not that happy and I'd typically keep it to myself but they're text spamming me for this rating. So here it is.

Having just purchased a previously owned car for my daughter, graduating college, We drove the vehicle to Sacramento. After realizing it needed service and we were only in town for just a few days, Manny’s team identified the problems, sent pictures to me and gave me options for repair. All in a timely manner to my timetable. They were up front and extremely honest, which is of high value to me. Once I left town, they continued to work with my daughter and made her feel safe about the car. She now has a permanent place in Mike and Sons for future care maintenance. As a father, this gives me great relief knowing my daughter’s car is in good hands. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Exceptional service and peace of mind is what they give you!

I highly recommend Mike and Sons. They did a great job on my car. They were kind, fair and reasonably priced. Having a mechanic you can trust goes a long way! It brings peace of mind.
