Mike Spellman
Owner and President
Mike has been a car enthusiast since an early age, watching his uncles and dad drag race. He has worked in the industry all his life. He loves the feeling of taking a car that isn’t running right and fixing the problem, and to watch the customer drive away happy and safe. He was first a technician at Paul’s Automotive in Midtown Sacramento starting in 1992, and he then became the owner in 2016. Mike is now taking his wealth of knowledge and determination to provide excellent customer service to the Downtown Sacramento area with Mike and Sons Automotive, which he named after his three sons: Jackson, Benjamin, and Jacob. Mike also wanted the shop name to convey how we just don’t do tires, the shop is here to serve all of your automotive needs. In his free time, Mike enjoys drag racing his 1972 Dodge Challenger, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.

Tracilyn Peters
General Manager
Tracilyn has been a car lover all her life. Her passion began when as a young girl, her family’s old cars became her playground. As she grew older, she helped her grandfather work on cars and enjoyed “cruising” her 1967 Cougar XR7 on the weekends (she still has it, by the way). Tracilyn puts her years of Business Management and Finance experience to use making sure that our shop runs smoothly.

Froylan Flores
General Manager
Froylan was first a technician and then transitioned to service writing in 2018. Given his background as a technician, you’ll be confident that Froylan knows the ins and outs of your car when he’s working with you. He always ends each day with the satisfaction of knowing that he has helped people with one of the most important parts of their lives, their ability to drive to where they need to go. When he’s not at the shop, you’ll find him spending time with his family and two daughters.

Manny Reyes
Service Advisor
Manny is the newest member of our Mike and Sons team. Manny has always loved to tinker and takes apart anything that he can get his hands on. Working on cars quickly became a passion especially after he had to pay for his own repairs! Manny loves spending time with his wife and kids in the great outdoors.

Enrique Hernandez
Service Technician
Enrique did not start working on cars as a choice, but as a punishment from his mom. When he was a kid, his mother would send him to his uncle’s shop so that he would stay out of trouble. The penalty turned into a reward in that he found something that he loved and that would turn into his career. He enjoys everything about working on cars and learning new technology. In his free time, Enrique spends time with his wife and plays with his four dogs.

Mario Durazo, Jr.
Service Technician
Mario began working on cars through the California Job Corps program. He excelled at it so much that he attended the Sequoia Institute to continue his education and build on his experience. He is ASE certified in steering and suspension and Mario is considered THE go-to technician for alignments. When he’s not at the shop, he enjoys watching NASCAR and horse racing and spending time with friends and family.
