Norm Madison opened Advanced Tire Services and Auto Repair in 1992 with the goal of serving the downtown Sacramento community. Norm retired in 2019 and Mike Spellman, an automotive technician since 1992, took over the ownership of the shop and renamed it to Mike and Sons Automotive, Inc. in honor of his three sons. Mike’s philosophy is to do whatever it takes to be the best automotive repair shop in downtown and to have his customers have a great experience.

Test evap system purge solenoid functionality test pass at this time , it does hold vacuum and voltage is present at this time Suggest replace OE fuel cap and retest EVAP system.

  • Verified customer concern. Performed test drive and vehicle lack power and check engine light is ON. Used shop scan tool and retrieved diagnostic trouble codes. Diagnostic trouble codes for ECM: P0011 and P1116. Hybrid ECU: P3000. Hybrid Battery: P0A80 and P3015. HVAC: B1421. Also monitoring live data we noticed Cell block #5 drops voltage intermittently causing hybrid battery diagnostic trouble code to set. Recommend replacing hybrid battery first and recheck system. Customer has decline repairs at this time. WE AT MIKE AND SONS AUTOMOTIVE DO NOT RECOMMEND TO DRIVE VEHICLE UNDER THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.
